Why Yolo? The name Yolo was inspired by falling ill and realizing YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! Something no one should wait for. F@#k it! “Eat the cake, go for a tan, get the lashes, treat yourself! You Only Live Once.”
Yolo Tanning & Beauty Co. is so much more than just a tanning and beauty salon. We want every client, woman or man, to take the time needed out of their busy lives to do something to make them feel good. Whether that be 10 minutes or an hour, we live in a day and age where the hustle and bustle has taken over us. Making time for ourselves is key and it doesn’t have to be an excessive amount. In addition, we will provide the option of eco-friendly products for the health and safety of our client’s skin and well-being. Yolo strives to support women and men, to do things for themselves, feel better about themselves, and build a network in a strong community supporting one another. Life is too short, let’s make the best of it!

Liberty
Part-time Front Desk Associate
Liberty loves everything sports, from hockey, volleyball, baseball, wakeboarding, and down hill skiing. She plays for the Cambridge Road Runners U18A. Liberty aspires to become a hair stylist, and is excited to be a part of the Yolo team, and expand her experience in the beauty and wellness industry. Fun Fact about Liberty: She is an Irish Twin, and she can flip her eyelids inside out.
Madeline
Cosmetic Nurse Injector
Madeline is a Registered Practical Nurse at both Wingham & Listowel Hospitals. She decided to pursue her dream of becoming a cosmetic injector and joined the Yolo Team. She is also very crafty with her own Macrame Business and is a busy Mom & Wife.
Cori
Registered Massage Therapist
Cori is a Registered Massage Therapist who has been practicing for over 7 years. She is passionate about her work and offers deep tissue, relaxation and cupping massage, as well as Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage. With her special pregnancy cushion she can offer massages to expecting mamas while they lie comfortably on their tummies. She strives to offer massage therapy according to every individual’s needs and would love to help you feel at your best!

Angela
Studio Manager
Ang is a Cosmetic Tattoo Artist with a passion for self care and helping people feel confident in their own skin. She has an extensive business background, but after a devastating stage 4 cancer diagnosis and being forced out of her 9-5 due to treatments, she decided life was too short to sit around waiting for the end, and has committed herself fully to her passion of helping others feel beautiful and confident. Ang is a firm believer in the YOLO motto and strives to encourage others to live that #yololifestyle, she’s always up to chat about your self care needs so she can help you find the solutions that will make you feel your best everyday.
Vilina
Part-time Nail Artist
Vilina is Yolo’s Nail Artist, offering Gel & Acrylic extensions and Shellac manicure and pedicures.
She’s been doing nails for 4 years and absolutely loves it! Vilina got into this industry because she could not find a nail tech to do the designs she wanted, so decided to do them herself. She loves psychology so every appointment is like therapy for clients too.

Amanda

My story
Amanda is the Owner of Yolo Tanning & Beauty Co, which was inspired by a lifelong dream and falling ill to make it happen. In December of 2020, Amanda was diagnosed with Cervical and Endometrial Cancer. After battling a rough road, she had major surgery in June of 2021 to remove the Cancer via full Hysterectomy at the age of 31. She just recently received the all-clear from her 6-month follow-up that she is Cancer free. During all of this, Amanda never stopped working, if anything it made her work harder, striving for success. In the Fall of 2021, she decided to start pursuing her dreams in her spare time by working Full-time as a Financial Controller, a wife, and a Mom of 4. She has such a passion and drive to succeed. Something she would love to inspire others with. From working full-time, part-time, and going to school, she is proof you can become something despite hard times, don’t give up! For every negative, there is a positive.
When Amanda is not working, you can find her doing home improvements or running her kids to sports and appointments. Amanda also loves to cook and bake, something her children are very involved in. In the summer you can find her soaking up the sun, enjoying BBQ listening to Classic Rock or Country music, and a glass of red wine. In the Winter you can find her on the trails snowmobiling with her husband and kids.
